AEP’s 28% Increase Begins June, 2023

June 1, 2023, marked the beginning of AEP’s 28% price increase. Inflation & cost of living increases have been on everyone’s minds the past few years. Whether it’s rent, interest rates, food, gas, etc., it seems like every item in our monthly budgets has increased in cost. This latest increase from AEP is a concrete illustration of how cost of living increases are affecting us Ohioans.

Example of the 28% increase (based on the average usage per customer):
Former AEP bill: $155/mo
New AEP bill: $198/mo

So how can you fight back against all these increases?

Bankruptcy. These increases have forced many Ohioans to fall behind on their bills: Car payments, mortgages, credit cards, medical bills, loans, etc.
